I love reading. Not only because I learn a lot from reading but also just because. That’s not to say that I am not discerning when it comes to what books to read. I therefore would like to share with you my list of the ten books that has helped me grow not only as a businessman but also as a person.
So, here they are in no particular order (except number 1).
1. The Holy Bible
No need to elaborate on this one.
2. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth by T.Harv Eker
Plain and simple, this is a book where multi-millionaire T. Harv Eker teaches the reader how to become rich.
3. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Hill was inspired by the blueprint for success by Andrew Carnegie and came up with this gem of a book. This told me not only what to do but how to do it. Do what? Make a fortune.
4. Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz
This is the closest thing you can have to a real coach. This book showed me how to set my goals high and how to reach it, nay, exceed it even.
5. Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason
I came across this book at the right time. Why? Because this modern-day classic provides a good look at personal financial problems. Of course, it would not be complete with easy to understand solutions, which it totally has.
6. Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins
Miami Heat team president, former NBA player and Coach of the Decade Pat Riley is one of the numerous nig-name people who gave their thumbs-up for this book. This book showed me how to maximize me. That means getting the most out of myself.
7. Why We Want You to be Rich: Two Men – One Message by Donald J. Trump and Robert T. Kiyosaki
These two men know what it takes to be wealthy and this book shows the philosophy behind being wealthy. When a billionaire talks, you should listen. When two of them make a book, you should read it.
8. Winning Every Day by Lou Holtz
A coach’s coach, Lou Holtz can motivate any team to go for the gold against all odds. Clichés but that’s true. This book will motivate you into your untapped potential.
9. Pyramid of Success by John Wooden
John Wooden is the greatest coach in the history of sports, bar none. This book features the words and values of the late Coach Wooden so this is the closest you can be to learn from him.
10. Principle-Centered Leadership by Stephen Covey
Security, guidance, wisdom, and power ; learn more about these by reading this book. I did. This is the perfect book for business leaders and those aspiring to become one.
